TAA Entertainment is the initiative of Tyran Parke, Alistair Thomson and Amanda Buckworth to help revitalize the dwindling cabaret scene in Sydney and provide a venue for both established and up-and-coming artists to perform their shows. Since its inception, Statement Cabaret has contributed greatly to the local Arts scene and bought a new audience to the cabaret genre. In its first year Statement established itself as one of Sydney’s premier cabaret venues and presented performers such as Kaye Tuckerman, Lisa Schouw, Queenie van de Zandt, Phil Scott, Avigail Herman, Melissa Langton, Trevor Ashley, Darren Mapes and Lisa Adams. These shows were received with critical acclaim and went on to other venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Ensemble Theatre, Parramatta Riverside and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. TAA Entertainment is dedicated to bringing the cream of Australia's cabaret and musical theatre talent to the audiences of Sydney in the intimate Statement Cabaret Lounge located below the historic State Theatre in the heart of the city.
